Thank you for your interest in Women in Stem High School Aerospace Scholars (WISH).  The application deadline is January 10, 2013 at midnight CST.

Don’t wait until the last minute to submit your application. There will be minimal IT support for the holidays.

Things to keep in mind as you complete the Women in Stem High School Aerospace Scholars Application. You must complete your application in one sitting, however you can continue to click submit every 55 minutes to reset your timer. So be sure to keep your eyes on the clock.

  1. Print a blank application so you can prepare all of your entries before beginning the process (blank application).
     
  2. As part of your application, you will write two essays. Please review these tips before writing your essay.
     
  3. Have your legislative letter written and ready to upload. DO NOT ASK YOUR LEGISLATOR FOR A LETTER, THIS IS A LETTER YOU WRITE TO THE LEGISLATOR BUT YOU DO NOT MAIL THIS LETTER TO YOUR LEGISLATOR!  This letter is to be uploaded as a part of your application, DO NOT mail to your Legislator. It will be your responsiblity to research who your State representative is, you will want to look it up using google. Be sure this information is accurate. Accuracy in this area will be looked at as part of the competitive application process. Please review these guidelines for writing a formal letter to your legislator. If you have any questions about your letter please contact us at JSC-NHAS@mail.nasa.gov
     
  4. Ensure you have the correct email addresses of the person that will write your recommendation letter and your current high school guidance counselor for the verification letter request.  If your guidance counselor or the person writing your letter of recommnedation do not receive an email requesting the information, please contact us immediately at 281-483-4112 or email JSC-NHAS@mail.nasa.gov.
     
  5. Complete your application in one session, remember you can click submit every 55 minutes to keep your session going.
     
  6. Once your application has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation email.  If you do not receive the email, please email JSC-NHAS@mail.nasa.gov .  Do not wait until the day before selections and tell us you did not receive a confirmation email.
