The legislative letter is written by you, addressed to your state Representative or Senator not your U.S Representative.  The purpose of this letter is to tell your legislator why you want to participate in the Women in Stem High School Aerospace Scholars project and a little about yourself; i.e. hobbies, volunteer work (if applicable) etc.  More specific application guidelines can be found at the top of the menu bar by clicking on the Students tab and then click on “Apply Here”. You will want to research who your state Representative or Senator is, it will be your responsibility that this information you enter is accurate. Accuracy in this area will be looked at as a part of the competitive application process for WISH. Be sure to double check your information!

Once you have submitted your letter, our project office will forward your letter to the addressed legislator.  It is vitally important you have researched who your legislator is for your location. Be sure you have checked this information for accuracy. Please do not contact your state legislator’s office.  We will communicate with the state legislators. If you have any questions about the process please contact us at jsc-nhas@mail.nasa.gov

Your U.S. Congress person is needed for statistical purposes and the state legislator is required so that we can notify the legislator of your interest in participating in WISH.

Please send an email to notices@spacegrant.org and be specific in the problem you are having.
